Underwater joy

There's a distinctly underwater feel to this one: not like ocean underwater, though; more like aquarium underwater; confined...

It could be echoing a phrase from this morning's blog post -- "drowning in darkness" -- or it could be I've been reading too many first hand descriptions of what it feels like to get this virus, and how it works to make it difficult to breathe.

I do like that there's light and movement in it; it's a surprisingly fun and lighthearted piece, given the times. Maybe I really am somehow managing to access that well of joy that lies deep within...

Learnings:White spatters can add to an underwater feel.
Angled spatters create a sense of movement
It can be fun to make small marks with a small pointed brush
These colors are clearly in my comfort zone.
